New Work 2026
About Mountain and Forest Trolls: Having always had an affinity for northern cultures and their close kinship to the land and animals; I was drawn to the work of Theodore Kittellsen, a Norwegian artist who depicted trolls and other nature spirits and beings.
I am also interested in the work of the Danish sculptor, Thomas Dambo, whose giant, landscape-size trolls inhabit the Maine Coastal Botanic Gardens and are found throughout Europe.
Designing and creating the felted trolls were like melding plant, animal and human. It was like creating in the realm of the metaphysical.

I have made new trolls for 2026, with the same intentions stated before; fresh interpretations of these formidable nature spirits.

Dragons, Sea Serpents and Sea Dragons: I have made all new renditions of all these creatures; boldly exploring strong colors and patterns and having a lot of fun.
